Madrasah Al-Wathoniyah: Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is the leading journal in Islamic educational at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. The journal promotes research and scholarly discussion concerning Transformative Islamic Education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. Focusing on the advancement of Madrasah Ibtidiayah education, and scientific studies on education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, educational innovations, and educational thinking in the form of: 1) Research results, 2) Conceptual ideas, 3) Literature studies, and practical experience at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
Etymologically, the word madrasah come from Arabic which means school, and the word al-Wathoniyah comes from Arabic from the word wathon, is mean homeland. The word Madrasah al-Wathoniyah is mean a school that teaches love for the homeland.
